New Company Branding for Colman Group
The Colman Group based in Norwich is a long established company comprising of four main divisions:
• Colman Print
• Colman Wholesale
• Office Supplies
• Owl Brand Stationery
Cameron Creative was asked to design the new company branding and develop this to work across all four company sectors.
Four distinctive colours were created and each colour was assigned a sector, this can then be used as the background colour for that sectors publicity material and signage. The Owl image taken from the previous branding has now been modernised and will be used as a optional secondary element.
The Coleman Group are delighted with the new look branding and have asked Cameron Creative to produce various stationery items, catalogue covers, vehicle graphics and email templates.

An important decision for any company to make is whether there is room in the budget to have other marketing materials designed alongside a logo.
Over the years I have seen a few examples where a company has initially asked for a one off logo to be designed. However I tend to cringe later when I see the logo I have painstakingly designed end up on various flyers, posters and stationery which have been designed in-house with Microsoft Word using all manner of colours and fonts.
Company expenses these days don’t go as far as they used to and I can totally understand why this would be an option for some companies. Logo design is undervalued these days, offers for logo designs at £20 may seem like a bargain, but you really do get what you pay for.
The purpose of a logo is to create a distinct impression with the viewer, be memorable and convey your company values. A logo is always used ‘on’ something, and a good deal of consideration needs to go in to the layout, font and colours of whatever that ‘something’ is. Whenever possible I would always recommend that a company logo is developed alongside other marketing materials to create a cohesive, memorable brand that will look good, and be memorable for all the right reasons.
